Trump feuds with Fox News again

In the wake of a fresh social media attack by Donald Trump against Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, Fox News chief Roger Ailes publicly fired back at Trump on Tuesday, saying his news network’s anchors and reporters will not be “bullied” by the Republican frontrunner in the race for President.

“Donald Trump’s surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing,” Ailes said in a written statement.

“Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should,” Ailes continued.

Trump had bitterly attacked Kelly after the first GOP debate in Cleveland earlier in August, charging that Kelly had been biased against him and asked questions that were unfair.

When Kelly returned from a vacation on Monday night to her 9 pm time slot on Fox News, Trump was ready.

Trump proceeded to retweet comments from Twitter supporters, including one that labeled Kelly a “bimbo.”

Ailes labeled Trump’s anti-Kelly tweets “unacceptable” and “disturbing.”

Some of those who work at Fox News also publicly pushed back against Trump as well.

Fox anchor Bret Baier also weighed in, saying Trump “has made his feelings clear. But THIS needs to stop,” Baier tweeted about the Trump attacks on Kelly.
